Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances, and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.”

Equity for me is very important and in my time working for Nefab, the company has provided us the opportunity to advance in different positions. Nefab has supported my professional development by introducing me to different areas of the organization, allowing me to understand and learn more about the systems that we use. In the end, I succeeded to secure the position of production supervisor because of the technical training received.

<p>Equity for me is very important and in my time working for Nefab, the company has provided us the opportunity to advance in different positions. In my first year, I was given simpler tasks by my superiors. As the years went by I was able to get ahead with the support of the local leadership. Nowadays, they entrust me with more complex tasks that require a lot of attention and concentration. I am glad that I am given the opportunity to help with the implementation of more and more projects in everyday production. In each phase of work, my ideas and suggestions are listened to and this is very important to me.

Equity within the packaging and logistics industry is quite important because all people, whether men, women or other genders have the ability, intelligence, and accountability to do what they choose to do without their essence or nature limiting them. Presently, I am leading finance and administration at Nefab in Brazil, and I can say that equity is one of the most important topics that we are pursuing.

Equity is very important for a working woman in the packaging and logistics industry. It allows a great opportunity for me to take initiative and contribute to our customers' needs. Working as Office Manager in a very fast-paced logistics warehouse allows me to not only interact daily on a managerial level but also on a personal level to get to know each and every person in the office/warehouse along with every visitor that enters our facility. I have been given an opportunity to help increase our team building which I feel is an important tool in building relationships. This shows every position has an important role in the company.

I joined Nefab South Vietnam as the first blue-collar woman in the foam line, and have been moving to the wood section recently. With the support from a female manager, I’m recognizing my strengths such as detail orientation and flexibility, which are essential in working with almost every product. With such a male dominant industry like packaging, women only need to be brave enough to step into it, and then we can definitely rock it.

I think equity and organizational success are in strong correlation, as it is important for the company to incorporate a variety of perspectives, experiences, and leadership styles. I have received all the support from the company in the last 2,5 years. I was able to work on both front and back-office sides and from January I was given the opportunity to coordinate the work of the local commercial team. These opportunities for advancement have a great impact on my professional development and I try to use my acquired experience and knowledge in my daily work.
