Expanding Reach in South America with Chile Facility

Nefab expands its operations into Viña del Mar, Chile, with a new facility that involves an investment of around one million USD and generates up to 80 new job opportunities.

Viña del Mar, Chile, June 6th, 2024 – Nefab, a leading sustainability-focused global industrial packaging and logistics services provider, has expanded its operations in the Latin America region by opening a new facility in Viña del Mar, Chile. The new facility meets the growing need for contract logistics and sustainable packaging services in the area. With an investment of around one million USD, it is expected to create up to 80 new job opportunities.

Nefab’s long-standing partnership with Metso, a frontrunner in sustainable technologies and services for the aggregates, mining, and metals refining industries has led to the establishment of a facility providing warehousing and distribution support for mining customers in the region. Upon the plant's opening, Metso will be the primary customer, and the collaboration will focus on ensuring efficient and sustainable warehousing operations.

In line with Nefab's commitment to sustainability, the plant is designed to operate with 80% renewable energy, maximizing natural light absorption. Furthermore, fully electric vehicles and machinery complement this state-of-the-art facility.

Nefab’s new facility in Chile offers a wide range of sustainable packaging solutions, including returnable packaging, fiber-based solutions and plywood creates to the mining, manufacturing, energy, and telecommunication industries. Looking ahead, it is expected to expand its services to encompass other sectors, including Lithium-ion Batteries and E-mobility.
