Wood based packaging
Our wood solutions are designed to protect your products in the best possible way. Wood is used for outer packaging solutions, pallets and heavy skids. Using those as a baseline, Nefab has many different solutions as variations of these types of packaging over the years. All of our wood based solutions are ISPM 15 compliant and can be used as export packaging.

Durable and customizable material
Wood has several benefits as a packaging material. It is easy to customize, as well as being strong and durable — therefore, we use it for pallets, large skids, custom crates or other hybrid solutions combined with other materials. The strength of the wood material also makes it suitable for large, heavy products. Wood based packaging is also space efficient since they can be stacked on top of each other during transport due to its high material strength.

Applications
Packaging solutions made of wood are often used for export shipments of large, heavy equipment to be transported by sea or road. Some common applications for wooden crates lie in the automotive and energy industries, where large machine components like generators, engines and batteries need a high level strength and durability to sufficiently protect them during transport.

CratePak
CratePak is a heavy-duty solution that takes less than a minute to assemble, without usage of nails. It can be customized with inner fittings, blocking and filling materials.

Heavy Duty Skids
Skids are large metal frames to which an oversized piece of equipment can be fastened; the skid can then be securely fixed to the ocean-going vessel on which the equipment is to be transported.

Nefab can accommodate such unusually configured or unwieldy devices as surgical robots. We build wood crates with the end user in mind, incorporating features that make unpacking and removal simple and efficient.
